June 2nd, 2019, 9-noon

You have seen many spirals made from Peyote but how about spirals made from Brick stitch? This is a unique way to make spirals and so much fun. It also has it's own properties and variations. This can also be made into a necklace or even a slider on a necklace cord. How about once around for earrings. Lots of possibilities to explore. This class also includes a fun clasp made from the same beads. Students will learn how to use Brick Stitch in a spiral rope with varying sized seed beads to create a wonderfully textured project. We will also make a matching clasp. Discussions will include stitch techniques and properties, working tension, working with multiple bead shapes and sizes, and possible bead substitutions.

Make a Cubic Right Angle Weave rope with seed beads and SuperDuos. This pattern includes unique embellishments made along with the rope to create these great flower accents. This rope could also make a great necklace. Students will learn how to create this unique accented Cubic Right Angle Weave Pattern. Discussions will include stitch techniques and properties, working tension, working with multiple bead shapes and sizes, possible bead substitutions, sizing the project and attaching a clasp.

Break all your inhibitions and bring your beading to a new level – try Freeform! This class will mostly gear itself to Brick Stitch but Freeform allows anything to happen! Even if you are not a huge Brick Stitch fan you will enjoy the flexibility you have with this stitch. And if you are into bead embroidery you will love the similar journey this project provides. There will be several color choices to inspire you. Everyone will create a unique project even a bracelet if you prefer. Students will follow specific steps to start their own Freeform journey. Learn to take Ladder and Brick Stitch along with other stitches to solve problems and create unique parts of a whole project. Discussions will include stitch techniques and properties, working tension, working with multiple bead shapes and sizes, sizing the project and attaching a clasp.

Make this wonderful embellished bracelet using several different sizes of drop beads and a unique chenille technique. Very simple and very fun. Students will learn how to stitch a unique Chenille Ropes with large embellishment beads. Discussions will include stitch techniques and properties, working tension, working with multiple bead shapes and sizes, possible bead substitutions, sizing the projects and attaching clasps.

B191942 - Pearl Blossom Necklace
June 4th, 2019, 9am-noon

Make this fun blossom chain and pendant necklace. Use large pearls and two hole beads to create this great look. The pendant can be made in a couple of different varieties and can be made unique to the student. The little flowers are very versatile and can be made into earrings and a bracelet as well. Several different colors choices for this project will be available. This class is appropriate for beginners that are comfortable with bead weaving. Students will learn how to stitch a unique variation of peyote to create the blossoms and learn to attach them together for a pleasing necklace chain. Discussions will include stitch techniques and properties, working tension, working with multiple bead shapes and sizes, possible bead substitutions, sizing the projects and attaching clasps.

Make this great rope with unique textures. Use SuperDuos and Dragon Scales with Cubic Right Angle Weave to make this rope. It could just as easily be made into a necklace. It is a fun project to wear. Even though it seems like it would be prickly it is not and it moves so smoothly like fabric. There will be several color combinations to choose from.Students will learn how to make this fun pattern using Cubic Right Angle Weave. Discussions will include stitch techniques and properties, working tension, working with multiple bead shapes and sizes, possible bead substitutions, sizing the project and attaching a clasp.

B191946 - Butterfly Ornament
June 4th, 2019, 6-9 pm

Make this wonderful decoration you will want to display year round but will look great on a tree as well. This mini ornament (2 inch bulb) uses lots of single and two hole beads to create this netting with butterflies on it. Add no, a little or lots of fringe to make this a simple or a beautifully elegant creation. Learn techniques that you can carry over to make your own unique designs. Think of all the wonderful gifts these would make as well. Students will learn how to create a netting technique to cover the bulb and the several different embellishment techniques for as much fringe as desired. Discussions will include bulb sizing, stitch techniques and properties, working tension, working with multiple bead shapes and sizes, and possible bead substitutions.

B180712 - Demi Medallions Necklace
Tuesday 6/5/18 – 6-9 pm

The Demi Medallions Necklace is a project of many components put together to make a full necklace. We will use both sizes of Demis and an O bead. There are two round patterns and two squared patterns.  You will be able to choose how many you make of each one and how you put them together.  In class, we will work on one of each medallion; a round and a square.  You will receive detailed diagrammed instructions how to make the slight variations for all four pieces and how to change components to create your own unique medallions.  These medallions can also be put together to form a bracelet and to make earrings and a pendant.

B180723 - Twisted Puzzle Rope
Wednesday 6/6/18 – 6-9 pm

Twisted Puzzle Rope is a great feeling rope for a bracelet or necklace.  We will use three popular two hole beads, SuperDuos, 2 Hole lentils, and Rullas. We will also talk about how to substitute other two hole beads for unique looks.  This is a new stitch we have been working with to create this project.  To keep costs down this class kit will include enough beads to make a bracelet.  

B180752 - Chenille Workshop
Friday 6/8/18 – 8-4 pm (1-hour break)

The Chenille Workshop has 5 projects in one class!  We will start out with a simple chenille rope to get you familiar with basic chenille stitch.  Then we will move to a two-hole bead pattered rope using mini duos.  The last in the rope series is an embellished chenille rope.  This is so fun and chunky you will love playing with this pattern and making your own variations.  In the afternoon, we will challenge ourselves with the flat chenille.  The first one will be made with seed beads and the second one will be made with SuperDuos.  They follow a very similar pattern.  We will have a brief time with each project but you will leave with an understand of all 5 and detailed instructions for each.  You will also have all the materials to complete all 5 projects.

Saturday 6/9/18 – 9-4 pm (1-hour break)

Make this heavily textured necklace using Brick Stitch. The pattern drops and adds 9 different bead styles to create this continuous rope necklace.  You can also use any of the sections to make matching bracelets.  If you have never given Brick Stitch a real chance, try this unique rope pattern.  It is very fun and addictive.

The Cable Knit Sweater Necklace looks just like knitting.  It is hard to believe it is all glass beads.  This pattern uses lots of two hole beads, O beads and crystal rondel accents.  

Students will learn a very detailed pattern of Peyote stitch to create this unique look.

Make this wonderful bracelet using the Arcos beads for a squiggly center band with Minos and DiamonDuos along the edge. A beautiful curved embellishment with a sparkle of crystals complete the piece. Students will learn a unique pattern that uses one, two and three hole beads.

Reversible QuadraLentil Bracelet

Description:

Create a fun and uniquely reversible or two-sided bracelet using QuadraLentils and drops on one side and O beads on the other and a fun side embellishment. Explore the challenges of a two-sided project -but oh what fun.

Herringbone stitch and learn the how to work on both sides of a base. We will discuss stitch techniques and properties, working tension, working with multiple bead shapes and sizes, possible bead substitutions, sizing the project and attaching a clasp.

Cable Knit Sweater Necklace

I know it is the wrong time of year to create a knitted look beaded necklace, but you will wish the summer away to be able to wear this one. Use a great combination of 2-hole and single hole beads and crystals to create this unique necklace.

Tulip Trellis Bracelet

This wonderful bracelet combines Herringbone stitch and some favorite beads (Super Duos, ES-Os, O beads and drops) to make a ribbon of beads with delicate rows of “tulips” along the side.
